The Experimental High Energy Physics group at Peking University (PKU) invites applications for the Boya postdoctoral fellow to work on the CMS experiment at the LHC.

The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in the studies related to Higgs and new physics using advanced deep learning techniques (Higgs to muons and taus as well as double Higgs with bjets and/or taus). The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to the CMS-MTD timing detector upgrade project with a focus on system integration, commissioning and operation at CERN.

The position is fully based at CERN, initially for two years with possible extensions upon mutual agreement. It will start as soon as possible when the decision is made.

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in particle physics, or equivalent, by the time when he/she starts the position at Peking University.

The PKU CMS group currently consists of six professors, six postdoctoral researchers, and around twenty graduate students. The group strongly involves in studies of multi-boson, VBS/VBF processes, double Higgs production as well as B-physics related processes. The group has long-term researches on detectors and electronics. The group has significant contributions to the CMS RPC and GEM detectors, and newly ramps up with the CMS MTD project for the Phase II upgrade.
