The Theoretical Particle Physics (TPP) group at the University of Sussex

encourages expressions of interest to apply for postdoctoral fellowships through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA): .

The current call for applications to the MSCA Fellowships will close on 11 September 2024. We invite applications for both 'European Fellowships’ and 'Global Fellowships’:

1) European Postdoctoral Fellowships: open to researchers moving within Europe or coming to Europe from another part of the world to pursue their research career. These fellowships take place in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country (including the UK) and can last between 12 and 24 months. Researchers of any nationality can apply. The TPP group at Sussex can be chosen as the host.

2) Global Postdoctoral Fellowships: open to European nationals or long-term residents who wish to engage in R&I projects with organisations outside the European Union and Associated Countries. These fellowships must last between 24 and 36 months (12-24 for the outgoing phase and 12 for the mandatory return phase in Europe or an Associated Country). Only nationals or long-term residents of the EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries can apply. The TPP group at Sussex can be chosen as the host of the return phase.

Applicants must be in possession of a PhD at the call deadline and have a maximum of 8 years full-time research experience after the date of award of their doctoral degree. They must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the host organisation (for European Postdoctoral Fellowships), or the host organisation for the outgoing phase (for Global Postdoctoral Fellowships) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.

We invite candidates to express their interest by sending a short research proposal and CV to the TPP group leader, Sebastian Jäger ( ), as soon as possible and no later than July 26, 2024. Initial screening of applications will be made immediately after. Candidates are encouraged to contact any TPP member for informal enquiries.
