Postdoctoral Fellow in Theoretical High-Energy Physics, Quantum Information & AdS/CFT, Gravitational

A one-year postdoctoral position (12 months) with Prof. Arpan Bhattacharyya at the Department of Physics of IIT Gandhinagar is available with a possibility of extension subject to performance and availability of funds. A successful candidate is expected to conduct

research on one or more of the following topics: quantum complexity and other information theoretic measures and their applications in quantum many-body systems and AdS/CFT correspondence, conformal field theory, recent developments in two- and three-dimensional gravity and topological quantum field theories, black hole physics, and holography beyond AdS/CFT.

The candidate should hold a PhD degree in physics. Candidates who have submitted their thesis or are about to submit it may also apply. A strong record of publications in the field of Quantum Field Theory/TQFT, Quantum Information in Quantum Field Theory/ quantum many-body systems, AdS/CFT/ holography beyond AdS/CFT, Conformal Field theory, Black hole/Gravitational physics is expected.
