Applications are invited for the position of a Research Associate in the ANRF ( Anusandhan National Research Foundation ) sponsored research project “The Enigmatic Scalars and Physics beyond the Standard Model” (CRG/2023/000133) with Dr. Anirban Kundu (U. Calcutta, India) as the Principal Investigator.
The position is for one year, extendable for one more year subject to the availability of funds. There is no scope for any further extension beyond two years. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics (those who have submitted the thesis and awaiting the final degree are also eligible, but if selected, they will get remuneration in the senior graduate student scale till they get the Ph.D. degree).
The field of expertise of the candidate should be Particle Physics phenomenology, in particular Higgs Physics, B Physics, and model building and testing beyond the Standard Model.

The remuneration per month is Rs. 58,000/- (fixed) plus the HRA as permitted by the university (at the rate of 24% of the basic salary), and guided by the rules and regulations of ANRF. The University has no provision for providing accommodation, which will be entirely the responsibility of the candidate.
