The Department of Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Wuppertal, Germany invites outstanding candidates to apply for a two-year postdoctoral position in the field of lattice Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). The successful applicant will join the Research Unit "Future methods for studying confined gluons in QCD" (FOR 5269) funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Research topics include charmonium and glueball spectroscopy, static-light systems and algorithmic developments. The researcher will work with Prof. Dr. Francesco Knechtli and Dr. Tomasz Korzec in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Michael Peardon (Trinity College Dublin) and other members of the Research Unit. The remuneration is 100% of the salary scale E 13 TV-L. The appointment starts September 1st, 2025 and ends August 31st, 2027.

A Masters (or comparable) degree and PhD degree in physics are required. Advanced knowledge of quantum field theory and very good programming skills are a requirement.
