The CMS group of the Ruder Boskovic Institute invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the CMS experiment at CERN’s LHC. The prime focus of the position is on searches of Susy and track reconstruction, with a strong emphasis on machine learning approaches.
The CMS group of RBI is currently active in Higgs and Susy searches, exploiting both the energy and luminosity frontiers offered by the LHC. The group has important responsibilities in the operation, monitoring and upgrade of the CMS Pixel detectors.
The appointment is initially for a period of two years, possibly extensible to two other years. The position is based in Zagreb, with regular trips to CERN. Qualifications required include a PhD in experimental particle physics and a clear demonstration of the ability to carry out a research program.
The search will continue until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, statement of physics interests, and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to:
Dr. Pedrame Bargassa
