The Experimental High Energy Physics group at Peking University (PKU) invites applications for the Boya postdoctoral fellow ( https://postdocs.pku.edu.cn/tzgg/23e7ff5c7223496eb014f454d49c43db.htm )
The successful candidate is expected to work on the CMS experiment at the LHC and play a prominent role in the areas of physics related to the Higgs boson (e.g. Higgs rare decays, multiple Higgs production, precision measurements of Higgs properties) and new physics searches. Some previous public results of our group include:
1. evidence for Higgs->ZGamma decay with ATLAS+CMS (Phys. Rev. Lett. 132 (2024) 021803)
2. searches for Higgs production through heavy resonance decays with CMS (arxiv:2403.16926, accepted by Physics Reports)
3. measurement of fiducial cross section of Higgs production with CMS (CMS-PAS-HIG-23-014)
The successful candidate will also have a chance to contribute to the muon detector upgrade including the local production at PKU and the commissioning/operation at CERN.
Initial appointment will be for two years, renewable for a third year and beyond, subject to mutual satisfaction. It will start as soon as possible when the decision is made. A Ph.D. is required at the time of employment.
For more details, please contact Prof. Chen Zhou ( chen.zhou@cern.ch ).
The application material will consist of (1) curriculum vitae, (2) a description of research interests and accomplishments and (3) three letters of recommendation sent directly by the referees. Please send the material by email to: Prof. Chen Zhou ( chen.zhou@cern.ch ).
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
