The Physics Department of Ariel University, Israel, invites applications for a four-year PhD position. The starting date is in 2025/2026 and is negotiable.
The subject is quantum field theory at the interphase between condensed matter physics and high energy physics.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Mikhail Zubkov (https://www.ariel.ac.il/wp/mikhail-zubkov).

The particular interest is in the description of effects related to chiral anomaly.
The applicants will have the opportunity to interact with the other theorists of the physics Department of Ariel University including A.Klein (condensed matter physics), S.Bondarenko (perturbative QCD), I.Ben-Dayan (cosmology), A.Prygarin (mathematical physics), A.Kashi, L.Tal-Or, Dafne Guetta (astrophysics), M.Schiffer (quantum black holes), V.Belavin (conformal field theory).
