The lattice QCD group at the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Institute is seeking to hire two postdoctoral researchers with expertise in lattice QCD, starting as soon as April. The positions are for two years, with the possibility of extending for a third year. In addition, the group has openings for PhD students for the academic year 2025-2026.
The group comprises Profs. Constantia Alexandrou, Haralambos Panagopoulos, and Giannis Koutsou and research fellows Dr. Simone Bacchio, Dr. Ferenc Pittler and Dr. Gregoris Spanoudes. Topics of interest include hadron structure, muon anomalous magnetic moment, hyperons, hadron resonances, renormalization of extended operators, large-scale simulations and machine learning approaches for lattice QCD. The group is a member of the Extended Twisted Mass Collaboration.
Interested candidates should submit a CV and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to Prof. Constantia Alexandrou, email: alexand@ucy.ac.cy.
Recruitment will continue until the positions are filled.
