The Dark Matter and Neutrino Group at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research scientist to work on the RELICS reactor neutrino experiment . The primary goal of the experiment is to detect the coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) in xenon using reactor neutrinos.
About the Group: Led by Dr. Jingqiang Ye, our group is actively involved in the hardware and data analysis of the RELICS experiment. In addition to the CEvNS detection, the group is particularly interested in searching for an enhanced neutrino magnetic moment.
About the Position: The successful candidate will play a key role in the detector assembly and commissioning, as well as in conducting searches for CEvNS and/or neutrino magnetic moment. In addition to these core responsibilities, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in local R&D projects.
Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in particle physics experiments or a related field is required (or expected by the time of appointment);
- Strong programming skills are essential, with a preference for candidates proficient in Python;
- Experience with dark matter or neutrino experiments is desirable.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: A minimum of 300,000 RMB per year, with the final amount commensurate with experience and qualifications;
