The particle and nuclear physics group at the Institute of Modern Physics, Fudan University, now invites applications for one or two postdoctoral researcher positions,to work on the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), starting in fall 2025 or earlier.

Fudan University is located in Shanghai, the largest metropolitan city in China. The particle and nuclear physics group consists of more than ten senior faculties and strong teams of postdocs and Ph.D. students, pursuing research in various projects. The Fudan CMS team has a diverse and effective physics program at the LHC, focusing on Higgs boson physics, searches for beyond-the-Standard-Model phenomena and hadron spectroscopy.

The successful candidate is expected to lead major physics analysis efforts, contribute to the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL) Phase-II upgrade project, or both.

The position is for two years, with a possibility to extend for another one year. The successful candidate has the option to be based in Shanghai (China) or at CERN (Switzerland). Competitive international level salary will be supplied. Travel support and cost of living allowance (when based at CERN) will be provided.
