Team Leader Strategic Materials

Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: £46,130 - 72,910 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role

AWE is currently recruiting for a Team Leader for the Strategic Materials Team in the Systems Group which is part of Materials and Analytical Science.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Material Strategists and Materials Managers responsible for forecasting the usage of the UK's strategic materials. You will be accountable for delivering the functional capability and demand to the future programme requirements, applying the sub-function's strategy, and providing effective guidance as the main contact point for team members. You will be responsible for maintaining a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to business requirements to deliver the integrated technical programme.

A degree in a scientific, STEM discipline or equivalent experience is essential. Knowledge of the technical area or a strong scientific background is desirable.

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
