We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Marketing team as a Marketing Operations Executive, this is a crucial role in supporting IOP Publishing’s goal of increasing success of our global marketing efforts. This position is ideal for a marketer with strong analytical skill and a passion for technology.  

What will you be doing?  

The Marketing Operations Executive will be responsible for building and deploying emails, landing pages, forms, and automations. The role will involve close collaboration with marketing teams to implement marketing automation, support in the execution of tactical email campaigns, and provide best practice recommendations to maximise marketing efforts. 

Additionally, the successful candidate will support the marketing teams in the use of a Customer Data Platform (CDP) in leveraging customer data to enhance marketing performance and deliver personalised customer experiences.  

Key job accountabilities include:  

  • Build and set-up landing pages with personalisation and dynamic content to be used for various marketing purposes; 
  • Build and set-up enriched forms to capture customer data, using progressive profiling as and when required; 
  • Build and set-up tactical email campaigns configuring personalisation and dynamic content as and when required; 
  • Configure automation rules and segmentation lists, based on customer categorizations and manage day to day maintenance of automation flows;
  • Assist with quality control for all aspects of email communications, including links, email and landing page content, subject lines, and appropriate audience segmentation;
  • Liaising with internal design studio on the creation of digital assets as required;
  • Attend Email and Data User Group meeting and provide best practice advice and input into meeting topics; 
  • Analyse customer behaviour, segment data, and provide actionable insights to improve engagement and conversion rates. 

About you: 

  • Qualification or study in marketing/email marketing or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & previous experience 

  • Experience of working with CRM, Customer and/or Marketing data;
  • Experience of building and deploying emails and/or automations ideally in a Salesforce environment, but not essential;
  • An understanding of marketing processes as well as core marketing metrics;
  • Customer data management and segmentation;
  • Campaign strategy and execution;
  • Data analytics and performance optimisation;
  • Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy best practices;
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility: The contractual location of this role is our Bristol office, but we have recently moved to a hybrid working model with a dynamic and blended combination of office and remote working, dependent on business and team requirements.  We are looking for someone to attend the Bristol office on a weekly basis. Any travel to our Bristol office is at the employees own expense.
