Talent Recruitment of School of Physics, Nankai University
The School of Physics at Nankai University eagerly invites domestic and international talents in physics-related majors (also including Quantum Science and Technology, Nuclear Science and Technology, and Life Information Physics) to fill our faculty positions as follows.
Positions of Talent Recruitment
Ⅰ.High-level talents at Nankai University (Nankai Chair Professor, Outstanding Professor and Talent Professor)
Application requirements
Applicants should have good academic reputations and influence in certain disciplines, attaining high-quality teaching and scientific research achievements and complying with other conditions specified by the positions. Overseas applicants should be in the position equivalent to associate professor or above in global leading universities or research institutes.

Ⅱ.Positions of Young Discipline Leader Program of Nankai University
The positions of young discipline leader program of Nankai University aim to cultivate high-level leading talents. NKU persists in the principles of “High Academic Level, High Evaluation Standards and Provision of Favorable Salaries” and will provide superior resources for talent development as a priority.
Application requirements
To be considered for these positions, applicants should have attained doctoral degrees and reach the academic level of associate professor or above at NKU. Applicants for associate professor should be no more than 35 years old (born after January 1, 1990) and applicants for full professor should be no more than 40 years old (born after January 1, 1985). Applicants should have the academic development potential and innovation ability as young discipline leaders, as well as a good research foundation and the research direction and plans based on the academic frontier.
Supporting policies
1.Competitive salary
Young Discipline Leader Program A: The annual salary is 720,000-780,000 RMB (before tax, including social security and provident fund), housing allowance and settling-in allowance: RMB 1,000,000, research start-up fund: RMB 1,500,000;
Young Discipline Leader Program B: The annual salary is not less than 450,000 RMB (before tax, including social security and provident fund), housing allowance and settling-in allowance: RMB 200,000-400,000, research start-up fund: RMB 500,000;
2.The School of Physics will provide preferential policies concerning experimental and office conditions, establishment of research groups, and recruitment of postgraduates.

Ⅲ.Positions of the Overseas Outstanding Young Scholars Fund Program
Overseas applicants are sincerely welcome to apply for the Overseas Outstanding Young Scholars Fund programs relying on School of Physics. NKU will offer high salaries and full support for successful applicants!
Application requirements
1.Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, have good scientific ethics, and practice the spirit of scientists in the new era on their own initiative;
2.Be born on or after January 1, 1985;
3.Have a doctorate degree;
4.The research interest is in physics-related majors;
5.The applicant should hold a regular teaching or scientific research position in an overseas university, scientific research institution, or corporate R&D institution. Till April 15, 2025, the applicant should have worked for more than 36 consecutive months in the institutions mentioned above. The requirements for the length of working can be appropriately relaxed for those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have exceptional performance;
6.Obtain scientific research or technology achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the potential to become academic leaders in the corresponding field;
7.The applicant has not yet returned to China to work full-time, or returned (come) to China to work after January 1, 2024. After receiving the subsidy notice, the applicant must resign from the overseas institution and work full-time in China for no less than 3 years.
Supporting policies
1.Tenure and professorship will be offered to the successful applicants, who will be included in the university's “Young Discipline Leader Program A”. Tenure can also be offered to those who enter the final round of the competition. They will be included in the university's “Young Discipline Leader Program B”. They are qualified to supervise the PhD students and enjoy a relatively long assessment period and continuous supporting policies.
2.Sufficient scientific research funds and housing allowance: The state, Tianjin Municipality, and the university provide sufficient scientific research funds and competitive housing subsidies.
3.Improve team support: For successful applicants, their requirements of the quota of postdoctoral and doctoral fellows are prioritized by the university. The university encourages the scholars to form a scientific research team, providing adequate office and research space.
Support for application
Provide meticulous guidance: The university will organize expert teams to provide multiple rounds of counseling and assist in revising the documents through the application process.

Application requirements
To be considered for these positions, applicants should have doctoral degrees and have engaged in scientific research for 2 or more years after attaining their doctoral degrees and diplomas, usually no more than 35 years old (born after February 1989). The age restriction could be loosened for especially excellent applicants, with great academic development potential.
Salaries:
1.Annual salary before tax: RMB 250,000-400,000;
2.Housing allowance and settling-in allowance: RMB 200,000, research start-up fund: RMB 200,000, and experimental and office conditions.

Ⅵ.Postdoctoral positions
To be considered for a postdoctoral position, the applicant should be no more than 35 years old and have held a PhD degree in physics or a related field for no more than three years by the time of the employment.
