The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und ‑prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. We perform research and testing in materials science, materials engineering and chemistry to improve the safety of products and processes. At BAM we do research that matters. Your responsibilities include:

Assistance in project 8025 NDT decommissioning

• Design and construction of reference test specimens
• Design, execution and interpretation of evaluation and reference measurements using ultrasound and radar
• Creation and evaluation of measurement concepts
• Creation of reports and publications

Your qualifications:

• Completed academic studies in the field of civil engineering, geophysics, electrical engineering, physics or comparable
• Experience in nondestructive testing in civil engineering (ultrasound and/or radar, measurement and evaluation)
• Programming experience
• Very good language skills in English, both written and spoken
• German language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel and carry out measurements in nuclear facilities
• Good communication and information behavior, goal-oriented and structured way of working, initiative/​commitment and ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate, as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
