The successful candidate will join Covesions’ Product Development Team.  The role will be working primarily in an optics/photonics laboratory environment developing and delivering optical wavelength conversion modules and systems for standard products and bespoke applications.  The scope of the role runs from the design and assembly of the free-space coupling into bulk PPLN to the design and assembly of complete fibre based light source systems. In addition to the development duties, the role holder will be involved in product delivery activities to meet customer orders.  The role holder should have attention to detail, enjoy following processes and demonstrate initiative to seek workflow efficiencies.  Some general administration will be required as part of the role.

Responsibilities

To design and deliver optical systems including seed laser, amplifier, AOM, EOM and wavelength conversion modules

To design and deliver the system electronics/interconnects in the module To aid the design and delivery of free-space optical modules for PPLN devices

To develop and document production procedures

To train and review production staff on procedures To work on applicable research and development activities including reporting activities
