For the SuperXAS beamline at the Swiss Light Source we are looking for a
Beamline Scientist – X-ray spectroscopy
Your tasks
Contributing to maintenance and continuous upgrading of the SuperXAS beamline at the Swiss Light Source (SLS)
Establish a high-class research program centered on x-ray spectroscopic investigations of energy materials
Active collaboration with and support of external user groups of the SuperXAS beamline
Your profile
PhD degree in physics, chemistry or a related field
Solid experience in x-ray absorption spectroscopy and / or x-ray emission spectroscopy method development
Programming skills in a high-level language
Excellent communication skills (incl. fluent in English, willingness to learn German) and profound organizational skills for being proactive across multiple research initiatives in an interdisciplinary environment
