The main department Facility Management of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH (HZB) is responsable for all tasks of technical infrastructure and property management at both locations of the HZB (Wannsee and Adlershof). Our 80 employees look after the fields of Planning and Construction, Technical Services, Internal Services as well as Security Services. The local State Collecting Facility for Radioactive Waste (Landessammelstelle Berlin, ZRA) is operated by HZB on behalf of the State of Berlin.

The position is limited to 6 years and organisationally assigned to the Department of Planning and Construction (FM-B). At the earliest possible starting date, we are looking for you as our new project manager for the construction investment measure of the HZB, Project: Extension of the Landessammelstelle Berlin.

You will participate in challenging, diverse and meaningful tasks in an international and family-friendly work environment.

Your tasks

  • Project management for the construction investment measure of the HZB: Extension of the local State collecting facility (Landessammelstelle Berlin, ZRA)
  • Independent coordination of planning orders and construction measures related to the construction investment measure
  • Development of concepts for the structural and technical realisation of the construction investment measure, taking into account energy efficiency, occupational health and safety, fire protection, radiation protection and object security
  • Prepartion and coordination with the authorities to be involved, the supervisory authorities and the funding agencies

Your profile

  • Completed relevant study of architectue or civil engineering with a Dipl.-Ing. degree or master degree or equivalent
  • At least three years' professional experience in the execution of planning and construction tasks: planning, construction management, cost controlling and project management
  • Safe knowledge in project management
  • Very good knowledge of planning law and the Berlin building code
  • Very good knowledge of CAD software
  • Very good knowledge of image processing and layout software
  • Very good knowledge in dealing with relevant office communication software (MS Office)

The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
