About the role:

The RF Engineer will support the Radar Cross Section Capability, QinetiQ is developing two new radar cross section (RCS) measurement radar systems, an analysis suite and associated ancillary support systems. The QinetiQ RCS Capability undertakes the measurement of MOD assets: ships, aircraft etc., as part of LPTA a long-term core business. One radar system is to be fitted into a helicopter mounted pod, the other will be a transportable ground based system.

This is a great opportunity for the right (RF Engineer) to be part of the team designing and building a multi-band measurement radar.

The RF Engineer will develop requirements, generate design and test documentation and take responsibility for the build and test of large parts of the radar subsystem.  You will work within a team of engineers and scientists all dedicated to the RCS radar project

What I will be doing:

• You will be responsible for the development of unit requirements for the radar subsystem.
• The RF Engineer will identify areas where de-risking and, in conjunction with other team members put plans together to carry out the de-risking work,
• You will review and contribute to the radar subsystem architectural design.
• The RF Engineer will review and contribute to the radar subsystem detail design.
• You will build and test prototype RF sub assemblies.

What do I need?

We are flexible on level of experience, Radar knowledge is not essential. However, you need experience being an RF Engineer and you must have Knowledge of Microwaves.
