Pay Range

$84,960 - $110,040 Annually

Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.

Job Description

We have openings for Administrators to directly support the program sections of the Weapon Simulation and Computing (WSC) Program. You will be an integral member of a highly dynamic program and will work independently following established procedures to assess business, operational and organizational requirements and deliverables and apply general knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices to develop, improve and implement operational activities. These positions are within the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Directorate.

In this role you will

  • Review a variety of documentation for adherence to policy and to ensure consistency, lead implementation of corrective actions and represent program management with correspondence, coordinating, communicating, and disseminating information in collaboration with WSC Program Administrator.
  • Collect, validate, interpret, and analyze business, operational and/or organizational planning data in support of strategic and/or workforce planning activities for the work unit.
  • Establish and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and tracking/filing systems utilizing Confluence and Microsoft Teams.
  • Lead the coordination and execution of classified program reviews, meetings, workshops, and conferences of a technical nature.
  • Serve as a representative for internal and external committees.
  • Analyze and interpret institutional and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Serve as back-up support to the administrative team and WSC Program Administrator.
  • Develop and implement plans to promote culture, diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • Experience independently coordinating and prioritizing multiple and complex work activities, often with conflicting deadlines, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with short deadlines and frequent interruptions.
  • Effective analytical, research, problem solving and decision-making skills necessary to independently advise, resolve, recommend, and approve appropriate actions to implement solutions.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to interact tactfully and effectively with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the Laboratory, and to explain and obtain consent and action on complex matters, achieving desirable outcomes.
  • Experience leading administrative projects effectively and ability to understand, interpret, and apply operational related policies and procedures; advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal computers and associated software including Microsoft Office applications and experience developing reports for use in management decision making.
  • Demonstrated leadership and commitment to diversity and fostering an inclusive and equitable organization.
