Pay

$9,340.00 Monthly for the 705.3 level

$9,340.00 Monthly for the 712.1 level

Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.

Job Description

Position will be closed to applicants on March 28, 2023.

We have an opening for our Cybersecurity Graduate Internship Program taking place from May 2023 to August 2023. The opening is for a graduate level student and/or a student who has received a bachelor’s or master’s degree who will be given the opportunity to learn about approaches to cybersecurity and computer science education. The participant will research approved cybersecurity and computer science topics and assist in the creation of materials that will be used to introduce those topics to students. Additionally, the participant will research approaches to binary software classification.

In this role you will

• Learn self-and mentor-selected topics of interest and how to prepare instructional content for topics in cybersecurity and computer science.
• Learn cutting-edge approaches to identifying suspicious software using machine learning approaches.
• Provide technical and/or research support to projects in the areas of computational science, numerical methods, mathematics, or other related fields, working with scientists, engineers, and technical staff members.
• Support documentation, testing, creation or modification of Laboratory software, hardware, or Computer operating systems.
• Conduct research in assigned area under limited direction and supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be a continuing college student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing a graduate degree or has completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Ability to apply computational science and/or mathematical principles to solve technical problems.
• Demonstrated academic achievement in scientific curriculum.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas.
• Experience applying advanced computational science and/or mathematical principles to solve technical problems.
• Experience working with computers and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher

Security Clearance
