Control room technician 80–100%

The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. The Operation section operates the PSI four large research facilities. Four accelerator facilities are operated from a central control room 24/7. For the Operation Section we are looking for a Control Room Technician 80-100%

Your Tasks

Your task consists 70% shift work to monitor the PSI accelerator facilities in 3-shift operation (24/7) and 30% tasks in cooperation with different stakeholders. In this responsible and exciting job, you will support the commissioning and optimization of the accelerator facilities as part of the shift work, diagnose and treat operational malfunctions and operate the remote-controlled personnel safety systems. Your profile

• Completed vocational training ideally with further training as a technician HF
• You communicate easily in German and English and you appreciate the exchange between different technical groups in an international environment.
• You are motivated to acquire a lot of knowledge on the complex accelerator facilities and to continuously improve your skills
• You appreciate the benefits of working in different shifts and ideally have some experience in shift work.
