IOP Publishing are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their friendly, inclusive and collaborative Marketing team. Marketing is becoming ever more important with researchers at the heart of all that we do, so if you’re looking for a role where you will have the opportunity to develop and grow your marketing skills, then this is the one for you!

Role Overview

Reporting into the Marketing Manager, you will support the wider Content & Engagement Marketing team, as well as a variety of internal and external stakeholders. As a Marketing Assistant you will be providing marketing and administrative support for the team, using multi-channel marketing tactics to support the business goals of our journals, books and conference series programmes.

What will you be doing?

Key job accountabilities include:

  • Creation and broadcast of email campaigns
  • Uploading social media content across various platforms, and reporting on campaign successes
  • Use the data mining tool to pull lists of contacts for campaigns
  • Briefing in print and digital marketing collateral to studio
  • Organising shipment of promotional materials to international conferences and events
  • Updating subject collection webpages
  • Aiding with surveys, monitoring responses and reporting

About you:

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Marketing degree or some marketing experience;
  • Good understanding of all social media platforms;
  • Office administration experience;
  • Computer literacy skills;
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a dedicated and collaborative team;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

As there will not be a requirement for the person in this role to be in the office on a weekly basis, we are open to considering applicants from a wider geographical area who are happy to travel to Bristol a couple of times a month, subject to business needs. As part of this role there will also be some travel involved.

Although you might not be in the office every day, there will be opportunities to meet and socialise with your team!
