The School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering (SPOE) at Guangdong University of Technology is the leading research institute in China and is organized into four departments: Applied Physics, Electronic Science and Technology, Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering, and Quantum Information Science. Through the great efforts of the faculties, SPOE has emerged as a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary research and educational school. Its current basic research activities concentrate mainly on Theoretical and Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Optical Physics, Acoustics, and multi-disciplinary engineering research in Electronical Engineering, Optical Information Science and Engineering, and Quantum Information Science. SPOE is moving a track for rapid expansion of its research bases. We have multiple opening positions at all levels from junior Tenure-Track Assistant Professor to senior Full Professor in multi-disciplinary research areas. Vacancies:

Full Professors and Chair Professor

1. Requiring a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, materials science, or equivalent experience.

2. Demonstrated a leading role as a Principal Investigator or key contributor to high-level scientific research with significant achievements.

Tenure-Track Associate Professors - Class A

1. Requiring a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, materials science, or equivalent experience.

2. Demonstrated experience as an Independent Investigator or key contributor to high-level research with excellent achievements. A previous experience as an assistant professor is not required.

Tenure-Track Associate Professors - Class B

1. Requiring a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, materials science, or equivalent experience.

2. Demonstrated experience as a key contributor to high-level research with respectable achievements

Post-Doc.

1. Requiring a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or materials science or equivalent experience.

2. Demonstrated potential as a key contributor to high-level research with certain achievements.

Benefits:

Competitive salary: Salary range depends on the experience: Full professor: UK GBP £85-120K, Associate Professor: UK GBP £64-80K, Assistance Professor: UK GBP £43-60K, Post-Doc.: UK GBP £30-40K
